While traveling in Megijima Island, Japan, I got acquainted with eight resident island cats and we spent sometime hanging out together while I rest my tired feet on a swing. My short encounter with these playful cats inspired this piece of painting where I imagined the cats to be having fun at the playground when humans depart from the island in the evening.
