Uniqlo Wherever

I had the exciting opportunity to explore one of my favorite countries with Uniqlo, as part of
Uniqlo Wherever Fall/Winter2017 SEA campaign.

A 14-hour long shoot with merely 4 hours of sleep, with fittings in between all within 48 hours of arriving in Japan. Everything happened like a whirlwind while I was pretty much in a daze. My shoot for #UniqloWherever felt like a mini-adventure of its own. I thoroughly enjoyed the spontaneity in discovering new shoot locations with the Japanese crew while en route to the next. I’m really thankful for this experience, working with a crew with such infectious passion in their craft while capturing my travel as I make inky doodles in my sketchbook as part of travel souvenirs.

Behind the Scene

The crew at Monster Films Japan made me feel so at ease especially the styling team for their utmost meticulousness in making sure I am well taken care of while we filmed for AW2017 in Summer heat!

It was at times challenging to do a proper sketch while the camera pans around me, blocking my line of vision.

At our first location where the AD gave me a short briefing on how I should interact with the service staff and everything else is pretty much improv. Just before the filming takes place at every scene, he never fails to remind me to "JUST ENJOY” in his chirpy sing-song tone which really sets me at ease.

This scene was a fun one where I got a little carried away and ran too far into the sea and ended up getting soaked to my knees!

I am really thankful to Uniqlo Singapore / MadebyAnonymous – Felix Ng and Stephanie Peh for this opportunity, Ai Wei for translating my journey into beautiful words, and the voice coaching sessions.

Last but not least, Director Yutaka, Producer Keigo Nakamura and everyone involved behind the scenes whom I didn’t get a chance to be introduced to.

ありがとうございます お疲れ様でした !!!
